Footballs for Fun
Footballs for Fun is an idea that came from the fact that the World Football Cup would be held in South Africa in 2010 and that everyone in Africa loves to play football! The organisation produces Fairtrade, flat-packed footballs with a pump and encourages visitors to give them away to local children to replace their homemade football made from plastic bags and string. It enables travellers to interact more closely with the local people and give something back to Africa. The profits raised by the charity will be donated to charities in Africa that deal with malaria, TB, polio, HIV/ AIDS and clean drinking water.
