Tailor-Made Holiday

Canada - The Rocky Mountaineer

Travel to British Columbia for one of the world's most spectacular rail journeys.

8 days

from £3,895pp

The Rocky Mountaineer is one of the worlds spectacular rail journeys crossing Canada's Rocky Mountains.

  • 2 Days Gold-Leaf Service onboard the Rocky Mountaineer
  • View the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies
  • Take a heli tour of the glaciers
  • Spend time in Jasper and Lake Louise

This holiday idea begins with a couple of nights in the heart of downtown Vancouver.  A wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants are all within striking distance and there are numerous sites of interest including Gastown and Chinatown, Stanley Park or the Capilano suspension bridge.

Then the real journey begins. Board the Rocky Mountaineer. The Gold-Leaf service is the highest class available and we believe it’s the only way to travel. The glass dome coach for Gold-Leaf passengers maximises views of the incredible scenery.  Take advantage of the exclusive dining room serving excellent meals and complimentary beverages and snacks throughout the trip, before delivering you to your deluxe accommodation for the night.

Travel through scenic valleys and dramatic landscape. The journey from Vancouver to Jasper follows the route of the Fraser River home to the largest salmon run in British Columbia.  Pass by the Albreda Glacier with incredible views of the Pyramid Falls, however the highlight of this route is the majestic Mount Robson; the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.

Once in Jasper take a heli-tour for an amazing perspective of the glaciers. Collect your hire car and continue your journey through the Rockies to Lake Louise in Banff National Park. The scenery here is spectacular, with the glittering green waters of Lake Louise and numerous outdoor activities to take you deep into this striking landscape.

"Roxy filled us with enthusiasm and came up with some great ideas for a trip. We liked the idea of a slightly 'off the beaten track experience' and some private bespoke activities and that's exactly what we've had. Thank you!"

"Roxy created a wonderfully interesting route which was the basis for a super trip. She also chose lovely places for us to stay and interesting activities for us to participate in, introducing us to the idea of private guided experiences which we thoroughly enjoyed."
