You would not be mistaken in thinking you had stepped back in time as you enter Camp Figtree. Camp Figtree is a remote, private lodge and luxury tents set on top of the stunning Zuurberg mountain range. The camp boasts the most breathtaking 270-degree views to be found in the Eastern Cape. The Main Lodge has been designed around its original 1920's traditional colonial building style. The luxury tents consist of 6 unique dwellings The swimming pool is majestically positioned with decks overlooking the undulating hills.

It is possible to see wildlife such as Kudu, Bushbuck, Bushpig and Jackal during your drive up to the lodge, on a nature walk or whilst you cycle through the bush. A further highlight is the Elephant Back safari, a highly recommended excursion just 50 minutes drive from the lodge. At Camp Figtree, families are welcome and the dedicated staff offer children's activities to keep them happy and learning. Mountain bikes are available to explore the surrounds, or you can hike to the Waterfall or hire quad bikes and canoes in the valley.
