Buenos Aires Buenos Aires

Tango DancersArgentina - Buenos Aires
The great city of Buenos Aires was founded in 1580 on the shores of the River Plata and today it is one of the continent's largest and most sophisticated cities. If you combine your Argentina holiday with a visit to Buenos Aires there are many things to enjoy. Its people are lively and friendly and the city is dotted with beautiful parks, race tracks, rose gardens, golf courses, night clubs and theatres. Shopping is an exciting experience along Florida Street, around the San Martin Plaza or in San Telmo where antiques are a speciality.

The Italian Boca district, Palermo Parks, Recoleta Cemetery and the waterway of the Parana River are all attractions that give Buenos Aires a character all of its own. Savour the fantastic beef and delicious local wines while listening to the sensuous tango drift through the evening air.

South of Buenos Aires lie the Pampas, home to the Guacho, enormous cattle ranches and elite polo schools. Here you are welcome to ride, play polo, enjoy a round of golf or just relax and appreciate the traditional ways of these beautiful estancias.
