Tropical White Beach, Sandbar, Caribbean, Grenada

Grenada Holidays

A beautiful blend of deep blue and lush green. Be sure to include hiking through tropical rainforests and snorkelling over the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean in your tailor-made itinerary.

Located just 100 miles north of Venezuela, the small Caribbean island of Grenada has a largely rural, undeveloped feel to it, making it a wonderful holiday destination.

Its mountainous and volcanic landscape gives Grenada one of the loveliest environments in the Caribbean, with crater lakes, rainforests and coastal mangrove plantations giving way to white-sand beaches and brilliant blue waters filled with coral reefs. Across the water from Saint Lucia lies the small island of Grenada. Small in size it may be, but Grenada is one of the largest producers of Nutmeg in the world, and with the fascinating cultures mixed with mountainous interior and a stunning coastline; Grenada is an excellent destination for both relaxation and adventure.

Why we like Grenada

The mix of local people and fascinating cultures along with a mountainous interior and stunning coastline makes a visit to Grenada an excellent choice for both a relaxing and more adventurous holiday. The hotels are small and perfectly match the idyllic concept of a Caribbean retreat. There are also a number of private villas available, depending on your requirements.

Grenada: What to Expect

As a major producer of nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla it is hardly surprising that Grenada is internationally recognised as the Spice Island. Grenada is a tri-island country and its sister islands, Carriacou and Petit Martinique, float in the turquoise waters to the north of the main island. The rugged and unmanicured Atlantic coast is definitely worth a visit and stands in stark contrast to the calm translucent waters of the more sheltered Caribbean coast.

John Faithfull

Other than the exceptional food and hiking on offer, one of John’s favourite experiences in Grenada is to snorkel over the underwater sculpture park where a lone typist sits at his desk on the seabed, a cyclist freewheels between corals and a ring of friends hold hands while staring at passing fish.
