After heading to Zumba last night I heard that I missed the best episode of Earthflight on South America. Perhaps being slightly biased as this is the area I sell! The footage is meant to be incredible giving a bird’s-eye view of a Condor rising through the thermals. I can’t wait to reminisce about my visit to Tambopata Clay lick, once a cover of a National Geographic magazine, where as dawn broke scarlet macaws and parakeets flew in to feed off the claylick, to remove toxins from their diet. It was an incredible spectacle yet slightly sad seeing few numbers of some species such as the Scarlet Macaw. Thanks to research centres the population has improved somewhat.
Watch the BBC to catch up on this incredible episode! I know what I shall be doing this evening!
