Ultra Travel - the Telegraph's luxury travel supplement, had a wonderful article waxing lyrical about the charms of the Aman hotels. This article is well written and gives the reader a true insight into why Aman's offer the client a different experience from the norm.
Yes they're expensive, but they still provide a stay that can rarely be matched elsewhere. I was delighted to read a quote from Olivia Richli, GM of Amangalla in Sri Lanka, who's property I feel is the perfect blend of original architecutre and Aman's attention to detail.
I also read with interest the following article, titled 'Followers in Aman's Footsteps', which again gave some ideas for alternative options. COMO Hotels and Alila being the two that for me stand out and are well worth considering when planning a holiday.
