We work hard at building close working relationships with our ground agents so that we can offer our clients the ultimate and extraordinary holidays they have come to expect from us. They often offer us complimentary upgrades and those extra little touches that go so far, or find accommodation availability when all else seems to be full.
A wonderful example of this presented itself when I was talking with my lovely Ethiopian ground handler… Unfortunately we could not get availability in the Addis Ababa Hotel due to a huge HIV summit for which the Ethiopian government had banned anyone from booking into the hotel on the very night that one of my clients arrives into the country. After looking into other hotels and coming up short due to the lack of availability what would we expect him to do?
