Half Day Sugar Loaf & Historical TourCommence with an insight into the history and culture of the city. Rio's major colonial buildings are located downtown where the city started to develop. Visit the Lapa Arches, 15th of November square, Municipal Theatre, Fine Arts Museum and Banco do Brasil Cultural Center. Visit the iconic Sugar Loaf mountain and ride the cable cars to the top. The first cable-car goes to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 200 metres above sea level. Paraty is a small colonial port on a stunning stretch of jungle-clad coast two hours drive south of Rio. The beauty of this town is that it has something for everyone: renovated 18th century colonial architecture, shopping for ceramics and other local handicrafts and a varied coastline of sheltered bays, hidden beaches and private islands.
