Armenia Holidays

Although Armenia once extended from the Black Sea to the Caspian, today it is confined to an area smaller than Belgium and lies sandwiched between Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey.

Consequently, many of its important historical monuments now lie in other countries. Having been the first country in the world to formally adopt Christianity in 301, the landscape is dotted with old and beautiful churches, many of which pre date the 10th century. In the north, Lake Sevan covers a large part of the country but, elsewhere, you will find mountains, green valleys and wide plateaus.

Armenia is only just emerging as a tourist destination, but the gentle and hospitable people will extend a warm greeting to all who visit.

Armenia combines well with Georgia or Iran
