Cavas Wine Lodge is a chic hotel designed by renowned Argentinean architect Gonzalez Pondal Malenchini. Commanding a dramatic viewpoint in 35 acres of vineyards and a magnificent Andean backdrop, the hotel is a 25-minute drive from Mendoza.
The Lodge's 14 beautiful rooms are arranged in adobe-style houses with bright and spacious interiors, private plunge pools and alfresco showers. Four villas have private hot tubs, relaxing terraces and open fires.
Other facilities include a restaurant serving a seasonal menu using fresh organic ingredients, an extensive cellar featuring more than 250 fine wines harvested from the Mendoza region, and a spa, gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. Many magnificent wineries can be explored by foot, bicycle, or on horseback. White water rafting and golf can also be arranged.
Why we like it
This lodge has an amazing setting with views of the mighty Andes which you can enjoy from your terrace or plunge pool. The staff are very attentive and owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the attention to detail is second to none. Another great feature of this property is the food and wine, not only can you enjoy the delicious organically grown seasonal produce at Cavas Wine Lodge but if you stay on a full board basis you can also take your meals at a selection of other top restaurants and vineyards in the area.
