Araras Eco Lodge is 132kms or a 2.5 hour journey along paved roads and 1.5 hour trip along a dirt road, from Cuiaba. The journey to the lodge along the Transpantaneira road is a fantastic opportunity for a preview of many of the wildlife species such as alligators and capybara that you will see in greater detail in the days following. The rustic brick building housese 14 rooms all with private bathrooms and ceiling fans. Araras Eco Lodge restaurant serves typical dishes of the region such as fish and beef and uses the fruit and vegetables that are grown on the farm.
