Welcome to Travel Beyond the Ordinary

  • Your holiday. Your way.
We put you in the driving seat, you tell us what you like and what you don’t like, you let us know what you would like to see, and how much you would like to spend and we’ll use our specialist knowledge of the area to put together the tailor made holiday you deserve, with some of our favourites that you may not have thought about. Or if you aren’t sure what you want we are always happy to help with inspiration; be it a family holiday for enquiring minds of all ages, a honeymoon that offers something a little out of the ordinary, an adventure holiday to Antarctica or just some guaranteed sun.
  • Specialist Knowledge.
With over 35 staff in the office with a passion to travel, it’s hard to keep us in the office. We travel to the countries we specialise in at least once a year, increasing our knowledge of the area, visiting new hotels and old favourites, experiencing the latest up and coming areas and strengthening our relationships with our ground agents to ensure they are offering the very best service on your tailor made holidays.
  • We go that Extra Mile.
We have dedicated phone lines to answer your call 24 hours a day. That means that if there’s an emergency while you’re away, or if you want to change any aspect of your holiday, you are able to contact us at any time of the day or night and we can react quickly to your needs. We are also ATOL protected meaning that you can travel with peace of mind in the event of ash clouds or snow storms.
  • Travelling with the Experts.
We make sure we employ the best local guides to help you discover the very best of the country you are visiting. However, if travelling as a part of a guided group tour is what you prefer our sister company Steppes Discovery has a portfolio of small group tours which focus on specific wildlife species, while The Traveller, formally the tours division of the British Museum, organises cultural and archaeological tours, many of which are led by curators from the Museum.
